As the vice president of economic and workforce development at Emsi, John Pernsteiner manages a team of economists, data scientists, researchers, and analysts working with over 350 communities in the United States on economic and community development issues. His years of experience in the field of data analysis, economic policy, and workforce issues have helped regions both rural and urban from Alaska to New York. Prior to Emsi, he worked as the digital strategy director at an ad agency, where he developed brand marketing and promotional advertising. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington State University. John is a native of Idaho, where he currently lives with his wife, Tina, and their three children.
