David Snipes is the director of the newly established Montgomery County Business Solutions Center, where he leads a group of economic development and workforce specialists that work with the business community to better understand employers’ needs and connect them to the right resources to grow their business. Having served in various roles with Montgomery County, he brings more than two decades of project management to this role with extensive workforce development knowledge. Prior to this, he provided strategic leadership on workforce development initiatives, including the administration and operation of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). He is a former Sergeant First Class in the US Army and is an Operation Enduring Freedom veteran with multiple combat tours. He received his bachelor’s in English from Wright State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and holds the following certifications: SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional).
