Tina Ngo Bartel

Tina Ngo Bartel is the director of the center of excellence for labor market research, hosted at MiraCosta College. She was previously the director of business programs and research at San Diego Workforce Partnership’s (SDWP), San Diego County’s workforce development board. At SDWP, her research team developed SDWP’s annual workforce conference and priority sector research, bringing in more than $20 million in grant funding for San Diego County. She also managed SDWP’s business services, including customized training programs, SDWP’s free HR hotline, Hiring at Happy Hour, Code San Diego, and Reimagine Retail. Her activities include the Women’s Leadership Council, Emerging Council of Leaders, Linked Learning Research, Data and Evaluation Panel, Able-Disabled Advocacy Apprenticeship Committee, Asian Business Association Government Affairs Committee, and San Diego Mesa College School of Business and Technology Advisory Board. Tina has a BA from UCLA, and an MA in international management from UCSD School of Global Policy & Strategy (formerly International Relations and Pacific Studies).
