WORKING TOGETHER: HOW COLLEGES, WIBS, AND EDCS USE DATA FOR COMMON GOALS
In this talk, users representing three different organizations will relate how they have successfully used data to collaborate in their regions. They will discuss what data they used, who it made an impact on, how it was used, and what happened as a result. Participants will hear stories and ideas that they might want to implement in their own communities. They will also get good examples of how to approach various audiences in their communities.

HOW TO DEVELOP THE RIGHT PROGRAMS DURING A TIME OF RAPID CHANGE, GROWTH, AND EXPANSION
Bert Glandon will discuss how College of Western Idaho, one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation, has managed to rapidly develop programs that compliment the needs of the region, take advantage of strong partnerships, stay on budget, and benefit new enrollees.

THE FUTURE OF PROGRAM DEMAND ANALYSIS
Tom Prendergast, Director of Institutional Research and Grants at North Central State College in Ohio, will discuss the importance of program demand analysis and how to quickly produce analysis of new or existing programs. This analysis will potentially save colleges lots of time and money as they consider program expansion, contraction, or addition. EMSI’s new tools will be demonstrated and participants will walk away with a better understanding of how program demand analysis can improve many aspects of the college’s program offerings.

THE IMPORTANCE OF BUSINESS SERVICES
This talk will focus on successful business services models that the workforce investment system can use to connect with local employers. Attendees will learn about what data is helpful to have, how data opens doors, and what employers want to know. We will also discuss why business services is so important and what it does to strengthen the community.

GETTING LMI IN FRONT OF STUDENTS
There is a growing desire on the part of both educators and students to be better informed about local employment dynamics. But with so much data out there what do folks really need and how can it help them make better decisions? In this talk participants will learn about how organizations like colleges, WIBs, and EDOs can supply quality, up-to-date data to students and jobseekers in their communities.

In this session EMSI’s VP of Product Development will discuss Career Coach and how the tool is helping colleges and workforce agencies. We will also discuss some planned updates and how the product can be helpful for the new gainful employment regulations.

ESTABLISHING THE EDUCATION-WORKFORCE LINK
Establishing the education-workforce link: How data-driven analyses can help you, your business partners, and your constituents make more informed.
In this talk EMSI’s consulting team will focus on how to promote workforce development by bridging the gap between training providers and employers through data-driven analyses. The talk will include examples of previous education-workforce projects conducted by EMSI, such as economic impact studies, gap analyses, and skills match/competency analyses
